Peter H. Chang
Director, Producer, Cinematographer, StereographerPeter founded Golden Gate 3D in order to fully engage and explore the potential of immersive media. A pioneer in the use of large format 3D motion-control time-lapse capture systems, his cinematography for IMAX and giant screens includes National Geographic’s JERUSALEM, PANAMA, MacGillivray Freeman’s NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE, and PLANET POWER. He directed the giant screen IMAX film CUBA, which was produced in association with BBC Earth and distributed by Giant Screen Films. CUBA won Best Documentary at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. He has garnered two Giant Screen Cinema Association Awards for Best Large Format Cinematography, for JERUSALEM (2014) and NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE (2016). His work is featured in CALIFORNIA TYPEWRITER, the landmark HBO documentary series THE WEIGHT OF THE NATION and the music video for Coldplay’s “Midnight” which launched their GHOST STORIES album and tour. Peter produced, directed, and shot the film SAN FRANCISCO FLOW for Samsung and the television series LIGHTSCAPES for Discovery. His film DEUS EX HOMINE was awarded NVidia’s Best 3D Video and is featured on NBC Universal’s Best of 3D blu-ray. Peter produced, directed, and shot the film SAN FRANCISCO FLOW for Samsung and the television series LIGHTSCAPES for Discovery. His work was featured in Sony’s launch of their new Bravia OLED A1E Series 4K HDR television at CES in 2017 as well as the launch of the Sony VENICE motion picture camera at NAB in 2018.
Robert Mooring
Co-founder, Producer, Writer, Director, Cinematographer, EditorRobert has served as a writer and editor on several projects, including the giant screen IMAX film CUBA, currently in production. He directed, wrote, produced, and shot YOSEMITE WILD, a visual voyage of the iconic National Park, and also helped produce and shoot SAN FRANCISCO FLOW for Samsung and THE CITY: SAN FRANCISCO. Robert also shot the 3D rock-climbing experiential short BLADE WALKER for NBC Universal, which inspired visceral reactions from viewers. He holds a level 1 certification from SPRAT for rope access and professional rigging and is also level 3 certified by AAIRE in avalanche safety and prediction. He puts this knowledge to use regularly climbing and skiing technical routes in mountain ranges all over the world. He holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from UC Berkeley in Philosophy as well as Molecular Genetics, and was a Regents Scholar.
Violet Angell
Producer, Film Composer, Music Producer, Assistant CameraViolet Angell is a multimedia artist, filmmaker, and composer. She has worked on several giant screen IMAX projects including MacGillivray Freeman’s NATIONAL PARKS ADVENTURE, Pascal Vuong’s PLANET POWER, Daniel Ferguson’s EINSTEIN’S INCREDIBLE UNIVERSE and SUPERPOWER DOGS, and produced the giant screen IMAX film CUBA. Her music is featured in the award-winning films, BURNING WIGS OF SEDITION and ILLUSION. She works with composer and filmmaker Courtney Lain on site-specific multimedia performances and original scores to accompany silent film presentations such as Mark Dion’s exhibition “The Marvelous Museum” at the Oakland Museum of California and International Orange, The Golden Gate Bridge at 75, a FOR-SITE Foundation project at historic Fort Point. She has toured with numerous bands throughout the United States and Europe, and has performed with David Byrne, Arcade Fire, Antibalas, Trey Anastasio, Beats Antique, The Coup and George Clinton. She has been featured in Spin Magazine and Tom-Tom Magazine and on the National Geographic Channel, Current TV and Discovery Networks. She studied Intermedia and Electronic Art at Mills College.
Kelyn Brannon
Executive ProducerKelyn is an executive producer, principal investor, and board member in Golden Gate 3D. She is a 25–year finance veteran and has taken multiple companies to successful IPO. At Amazon.com, she was chief accounting officer, VP of finance, and CFO of Amazon’s international division. As CFO she led Arista Networks (ANET) to a successful IPO in June 2014 and Calix Networks (CALX) in 2010. Kelyn has served as CFO for Delivery Agent, EVP and CFO of Calypso Technology Inc, CFO of Arzoon, President and CEO of Studio Systems Inc. (Creative Planet). She has also held senior finance positions at Sun Microsystems, Lexmark International, and Ernst & Young. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Member of the Financial Executives Institute and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Kelyn holds a BA in Political Science from Murray State University, Kentucky. She is an executive producer of the action/drama film WARFIGHTER due for release in 2017. Kelyn is currently obtaining a Master of Arts in Anthropology specializing in underwater/marine archaeology at San Francisco State University.
Josue Lopez Lozano
ProducerJosue Lopez Lozano received a degree in photojournalism in 1998 at the International Journalism School Jose Marti in Havana. With nearly 20 years of experience in documenting the Cuban reality, he has worked in Russia, Germany, Spain, Finland, Sweden and the United States. An artist with exhibits in Europe, Russia and the US, he has worked as a local producer and co-Producer for renown TV networks and production companies from around the world, including CNN, PBS, ABC Australia, W Network, Channel 5, TV2 Denmark. He has collaborated with The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, LA Times, TIME Magazine, National Geographic Magazine, W Network Canada, among others. His most recent work includes the HAVANA TIME MACHINE documentary for PBS’s GREAT PERFORMANCES as a co-producer.
